The Cause:
Get Live, Stay Live is an event series sponsored by ISIS, Inc. for youth aged 15 – 25 years old in the Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood of San Francisco, and their friends and families. Each Get Live, Stay Live event will focus on a different aspect of youth culture – music, arts, fashion – combined with awareness-raising activities about the importance of sexual health. The first Get Live, Stay Live event will kick-off this summer at the Bayview Opera House on July 25th with an all-ages concert featuring local musicians . This event, as all the others, will represent Bayview Hunters Point talent, retailers and youth-serving community organizations.
Promotional materials distributed before the event will encourage youth to get a sexual health checkup at a local clinic in exchange for free admission and access to a VIP area at the show. (Admission of $5 will be charged for all others.) We will also have a mobile teen health van at the event to provide on-site services for youth in need. All promotional materials will be distributed via print, radio, text messaging, web and social networking sites using a youth-driven marketing team.
ISIS Inc., is a 501©3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to use technology and new media for sexual health promotion and STD/HIV prevention.
